At Magic Light and Sound, the safety of your guests and attendees is our top priority. We take extra steps to ensure that your event is not soured by a mishap. Safety cables: All overhead lighting and other equipment is secured by high strength safety cables in case of a clamp malfunction. All lighting fixtures are secured with safer O-clamps. Secured wiring: All wiring is routed to minimize its visibility and risk to your guests. If needed, special, wide tape is used to secure wires to the floor to avoid tripping. This special tape will not leave marks on the floors or residue on your carpets. Sound levels: The audio level is customized to your event's needs and for the comfort of your attendees. For louder events, we use a decibel meter to ensure that sound levels do no exceed safe levels for the length of exposure period. We use OSHA's chart of dB exposure level. In addition, we always provide free foam hearing protection for attendees who request it. You can be assured that you attendees' hearing is being cared-for when you choose Magic Light and Sound for your events. Lasers: All laser units comply with mandated power-level limits and guidelines for use. Fog effects: When fog effects are requested, we use water-based fog fluid only (not Haze fluid). We use specialized equipment to create a light haze effect without resorting to the less-friendly haze chemicals. Our fluid leaves no slippery residue and has a much smaller chance of negatively effecting attendees who might have special allergies or repertory conditions. However, when fog effects are in use, a warning to asthma sufferers will be issued as a precaution. Heat: The majority of our lighting system features the latest LED technologies. This means that there is very little heat produced by the fixtures--Minimizing the risk of damage or fire when ceilings or draperies are in close proximity. Fabrics: All fabrics used by Magic (table and stage skirts) comply with fire safety code.
